Getting started
Sign up and set up your shop in about 10 minutes.
You can be up and billing in about ten minutes. Here's the whole path.
1. Create your account
- Go to the sign-up page and enter your email, a password, and your phone number.
- You'll get a one-time code (OTP) to confirm it's really you. Enter it.
That's your login. Keep the email and password safe — this is the owner account, and it can do everything in the shop.
2. Set up your shop (2 quick steps)
Ezvento asks for only two things to get you started — not a long form:
- Your shop's name and type. Pick the type that fits — Grocery/Kirana, Electronics, Clothing, Footwear, Jewellery, Supermarket, Pharmacy, Hardware, Restaurant, Wholesale, Multi-Category, or General Retail. This matters: your choice turns on the right fields (batch & expiry for pharmacy, weight for grocery, purity for jewellery) and hides what you don't need.
- Where your shop is. Your address, state, and 6-digit pincode.
You don't enter GST number, PAN, or FSSAI here — and you don't add staff yet. Ezvento keeps those as "finish later" cards in Settings so you can start selling first. Your progress saves automatically, so it's fine to stop and come back.
When you finish, Ezvento offers to take you straight to "Create your first bill" or to your dashboard.
3. Your dashboard and the "getting started" checklist
The first thing you'll see is your dashboard — your sales for the day, number of bills, new customers, and low-stock alerts.
Near the top is a small checklist that guides your first steps:
- ✅ Add a product (needed to bill)
- ✅ Make your first sale (needed)
- ✅ Add a customer (needed — for udhaar and loyalty)
- ⚪ Add a team member (optional)
- ⚪ Turn on extra login security (2FA) (optional)
The checklist disappears on its own once you've done the required steps. You can also dismiss it.
4. Do these three things next
To actually run the shop, set up:
- Your products — so you can bill them. See Products & stock. (Tip: if a product has a barcode, you can often scan it and Ezvento fills in the details.)
- Your GST details — go to Settings → Account and add your GSTIN. If you sell from more than one state, see Multiple shops & states. See GST & tax for how tax works.
- Your receipt look — Settings → Receipts lets you add your shop header, footer, and logo, and set rounding. Settings → Printers connects a thermal printer if you have one.
5. Add your staff later (when you're ready)
- Cashiers and managers who log in → Team (under People). You give each one a role and which shops they can use. See Staff, cashiers & shifts.
- Workers with no login (for attendance and salary) → Staff.
That's it — you're ready. Head to Billing & payments to make your first real bill.
Change your language any time: Settings → Account, or the language picker at the top of the screen. Ezvento speaks 9 languages.
