Working offline
Keep billing when the internet drops — and how your sales catch up when it's back.
Shops don't stop when the internet does. Ezvento keeps billing on a bad connection and syncs everything up when you're back online. You never lose a sale, and a sale never gets counted twice.
What happens when the internet drops
You keep billing as normal on the New Sale register. Ezvento already has your products, customers, and categories saved on the device, so:
- You make bills the usual way.
- Each bill is safely queued on the device.
- You'll see a small "prices as of HH:MM" note, reminding you the tax rates are from the last time you were online (they're almost always still right).
Offline works on the full "New Sale" register only — the Quick POS fast register needs a connection. If you often lose signal, bill from New Sale.
When the internet comes back
Ezvento automatically sends up the queued bills — the moment you reconnect, when your phone signals it's online, or in the background. Each bill carries a unique stamp so it's recorded exactly once, even if the sync runs more than once.
- If a bill can't sync after several tries, Ezvento flags it so you can look — nothing is silently dropped.
- Each offline sale remembers the time it actually happened, so it lands in the correct tax period even if it syncs a day later.
If you close the app or browser while some bills haven't synced yet, Ezvento warns you first.
Offline sales are never rejected — but some get flagged
To make sure a completed sale is never lost, the server accepts every synced offline bill — it won't reject one just because a shift had closed, a customer went over their credit limit, or stock went negative. Instead it records the sale and flags what needs your attention:
- Negative stock from selling something the system thought was out of stock → shows up in Stock exceptions (Goods → Stock → Exceptions) so you can fix the count.
- A tax-rate difference (if the offline device had an old rate) → the server files the correct figure and flags the bill so you can see it on the bill's detail.
This is deliberate: the goods already left your shop, so the sale is real. Ezvento's job is to record it faithfully and then help you tidy up, not to pretend it didn't happen.
